Hedda G. Vs. Tha Houz of B
tha houz of B.A was so much betta than hedda g. Bernarda and hedda were both depicted as villians but Bernarda was more hardcore. Bernardaa was a tru GANGSTER!! lolz but 4real... Hedda acts so strong but she isn't. Bernarda dictates and rules with an iron fist. Hedda jus rules with manipulatives bahavior.

Anyway, I can't say which of the two plays I like better. To be honest I'm not sure if I really like either of them, I enjoy them to an extent but they are not on my top favs or anything. When you mention the comparison between Hedda and Bernarda, it is evident that Bernarda is more masculine and over powering especially since her family is all women. But when you look at Hedda she is in the woman's place in society, unlike Bernarda which I think is one of the reasons she can't be as risky and demanding as Bernarda since it is not Hedda's place in the family or society to be like that. Both have objectives and I agree that they are ruthless and manipulative in hopes of achieving such desires. But I think it is due to the lack of male presense in the House of Alba that Bernarda is so heartless and open about what she wants whereas Hedda has to go under the table to pull the strings she wants.

The statement that Bernarda was more hardcore i will have to disagree with. Both women are very strong and have masculine qualities with the desire to control other people's life. Bernarda and Hedda were unsuccessful in this. Bernarda because Adela "freed" herself and Hedda losing control over Mr. Lovborg and ultimately killing herself. In my opinion what needs to be observed to determine their level of "hardcoreness" is the image each character uses to exert their control. Bernarda uses her can with does not speak as loud as Hedda's pistols. Not only is it more violent, but it is the symbol of a true ganster!!!!
