ACT 1

Yo peeps... What were ur first thoughts about hedda ? I didn't know what to think about her. Now that I have finished the play i still don't know exactly what to think of her. She doesn't seem to have changed much. She's still mean and manipulative. What do u guys think?

She hasnt changed at all from the beginning to the end. However, you get a chance to see other characteristics of Hedda Gabler/Tesman. Of course she is very mean (looking on her treatment of Anut Julie) and manipulative (based on her relationship with Tesman and her attempt to make Lovborg kill himself), but she is also a coward, scared, and afraid that her actions will catch up to her. She is weak minded because Hedda killed herself instead of bearing the consequences of her own actions. Well i guess thats just karma taken into her own hands.
